| This mirror has been made from some shells from the local beach, a packet of exotic ones found in a charity shop and an old tile mirror. The tile was stuck on a piece of hardboard and then shells arranged and stuck on with 'no nails' glue. On the top left side there is a little crab.....yes it was already dead! Found the body first and then some legs further along so attached them together after a soak in disinfectant. (Hubs thought I'd lost the plot gathering all these bits) I made it about 15 years ago and only a couple of shells have dropped off and I like it just as much now as then, it has hung in the bathroom all these years. Wouldn't it be great to own a shell grotto. |
